Using Patients Know Best as a force for social good is central to our values and mission. To recognise our ambitions as an innovative social enterprise that empowers patients and joins up healthcare information, we became a Certified B Corporation in September 2015.
A social enterprise means that you’re doing the right thing, you’re delivering something that’s good for society. A B-Corp means you’re doing it in the right way, looking after your employees, you’re treating your customers fairly, you’re a good steward of your community and your environment.
The B Corp movement
The B Corp movement is a growing community of companies who are reinventing business to operate for people and the planet as well as profit. In a nutshell, B Corporation certification is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee.
B Lab accreditation
Every year, B Lab recognises the top-performing Certified B Corporations around the world. Since 2018, we have held our title as ‘Best For The World Honouree’.
Testing our standards
Patients Know Best is tested against rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency which evaluates how our practices impact on our employees, our community, the environment and our customers.
Setting the gold standard for businesses
Companies must complete the full assessment annually and have their answers verified by B Lab. Honourees scoring in the top 10% of all B Corporations set the gold standard for companies using business as a force for good.
As a certified B Corporation, we remain committed to leading innovation in health-tech with a clear social purpose. Sustainability is at the heart of our ambitions because we believe that by using PKB as a force for social good, we can have a positive and lasting impact on our employees, community, customers and the environment.
