PKB retains its title as ‘Best for The World Honouree’ 2019

Patients Know Best is pleased to announce that we have retained our B Corporation certification as a ‘Best For The World Honoree 2019’ in the Governance category.

The B Corp movement is a growing community of companies who are reinventing business to operate for people and planet as well as profit. In a nutshell, B Corporation certification is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee.

Every year, B Lab recognises the top-performing Certified B Corporations around the world who have scored in the top 10% of the community. This year, we are thrilled to announce that we held our title as ‘Best For The World Honouree’ for the second year running.

Using Patients Know Best as a force for good is central to our values and mission as a social enterprise. Additionally, being a certified B Corporation supports us to realise these ambitions more effectively. Retaining our special title as a Governance Honouree demonstrates our continuing commitment to safely and securely giving patients access to and control over their healthcare data.

On the news of the announcement, Dr Mohammad Al-Ubaydli, CEO and founder of Patients Know Best, said: “Benefit Corporations are corporations that benefit the world. At PKB we are proud to be recognised again as a B Corp with some of the best governance in the world. Since founding PKB, we have focused on working with healthcare organisations who commit to putting the patient in control. This is how we deliver our mission that patients know best.”

This award means that the Patients Know Best certification score is in the top 10% of B Corporations worldwide. We were highly rated for our mission and engagement, corporate accountability, ethics and transparency. We have also been recognised for the positive impact on our employees, communities, customers and the environment.
