Yorkshire-based tech consultancy 6B has been named the new technology partner for Patients Know Best (PKB), Europe’s leading Personal Health Record platform.

Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) has signed a 5 year contract with Patients Know Best (PKB) to provide their personal health record solution. This will enable their entire patient population and all health and care professionals to benefit from the platform, allowing the Trust to securely share data with patients in a timely manner.

Patients at UHNM are being invited to access a new online portal, providing them with their Personal Health Record designed to make it easier for them to view information relating to their care and interact with their healthcare professionals.

The writing could soon be on the wall for thousands of appointment letters Swansea Bay mails out to patients every year. Sometimes these letters get lost in the post or arrive too late, which means appointments can be missed. They also come at a cost – both in financial and environmental terms.

Students at Newcastle University School of Medical Education in both Newcastle Upon Tyne and Malaysia have gone live using the PKB platform to remotely practise consultation skills and to gain confidence in collaborating with patients on their care.

Young Epilepsy and Patients Know Best (PKB) have partnered to deliver a national digital solution for children and young people with epilepsy (CYPE) and their families to manage their health and wellbeing, hoping to go live in December 2021.
