Following the partnership between Interswitch Group and the Government of Lagos state in Nigeria, to introduce the Lagos Smart Health Information Platform (LagosSHIP), Interswitch has selected Patients Know Best (PKB) as a key partner to provide a Single Patient Record (SPR) system for the government of the state.
This pivotal contract will enable the government to host health records for over 20 million citizens in the state, marking a significant step forward for the healthcare infrastructure of one of the nation’s most populated states.

Beechdale Care Home were initially using emails to communicate with the practice, which generally worked well. However, medicine reconciliation for residents was extremely time consuming where individual emails were sent for each resident. Staff members were then required to go through all the emails sent/received, to search for and identify the correct medication request for each resident.

Rheumatology Team seeing cost benefits using PKB to streamline processes

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust’s Rheumatology Healthcare Team are seeing early benefits of using PKB to communicate more quickly and efficiently with their patients. In particular this is helping to streamline their process for administering healthcare prescriptions. From initial savings of 1 hour a week of admin time printing and folding letters, to a possible 2 full weeks of admin time saved by increasing patient registrations. As well as cost savings, importantly it is improving the experience for both clinical teams and patients.
